Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Vitrus BV, a private limited company organized under the laws of Belgium, with registered office at Vossekotstraat(Z) 117, 3271 Scherpenheuvel-Zichem, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0785.610.126 ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Anveri iOS application (the "App") and the website https://anveri.app (together, the "Service" or "Anveri") and acts as the controller of your personal data.
Anveri is a daily planner. You tell it how your day looks and what is on it, and it suggests a plan for the day. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Service processes, why, who helps us, and what your rights are. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Belgian data protection law.
2. The short version
- No account. Anveri works without signing up, a name or an email address.
- Your check-ins, plans, topics, Vault, day reviews and settings are stored on your iPhone.
- When you ask Anveri to plan your day, the information needed to write that plan is sent through our backend (in the EU) to our AI provider, Anthropic. We ask for your permission before the first time.
- Calendar event titles never leave your iPhone. Only busy times are used for planning.
- Your location is never sent to the AI and never stored.
- Anveri does not collect health data. No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, no selling of data.
3. What we process, and why
3.1 Data stored on your iPhone
Your morning check-ins (how your day looks, how your head feels, what the day is for), the topics you add (with optional time, duration, effort and star), your plans and what you tick off, your day reviews and notes, your Vault, your settings (such as daily fixed times, tone, town for the weather) and your streak are stored locally on your device. We cannot see this data.
3.2 Data sent when Anveri plans your day
When you tap "Plan my day," use "Add to today," or open Patterns, the App sends the following to our backend, which forwards it to Anthropic to generate the plan or note:
- Your check-in answers and today's topics (their text, and any time, duration, effort and star you set).
- Busy times of the day: your daily fixed times and, if you switch on "Use my calendar," the start and end times of today's calendar events. Never their titles, places or attendees.
- If you switch on the weather: a short forecast summary (for example "11–15°C, rain 14:00–17:00"). Never your location.
- Short context to size the plan: recent day-review answers and notes, which past actions you rated helpful, your setup answers (goals, tone, notes), your local time and language.
- For the Patterns note: counts only (for example how many topics you had and how many actions you finished per day), never the text of your topics.
Purpose: to provide the planning service you ask for. Legal basis: your consent, which you give in the App before the first plan (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and the performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3.3 Calendar (optional)
If you switch on "Use my calendar" and allow access in iOS, the App reads today's events on your device so it does not plan over them. Event titles are shown only in the App's day view on your iPhone. Only start and end times are used for planning (see 3.2). Legal basis: consent. You can switch it off in Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
3.4 Weather and location (optional)
If you switch on the weather, you can enter a town. The App finds its approximate coordinates with Apple's geocoding service on your iPhone and stores them on your device. If you also switch on "Use my location instead," the App asks iOS for your approximate location when you plan and rounds it to about 10 km. The App then asks Apple Weather (WeatherKit) for today's forecast for those coordinates, directly from your iPhone. If Apple Weather is unavailable, the App falls back to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) through our backend. We do not store your location. Legal basis: consent.
3.5 Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and paid through Apple. We never see your payment details. Our purchase provider, RevenueCat, receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status, so the App knows whether you have Anveri Pro. Legal basis: performance of contract and legal obligations (accounting).
3.6 Technical data
When the App calls our backend, our hosting provider processes technical request data (such as time, the function called and error messages) to run and secure the Service. These logs do not contain your plan content and are kept for a short period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable Service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.7 Reminders and notifications
Morning and day-review reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS. No notification data is sent to us.
3.8 Contacting us
If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in handling your request.
4. The support screen
If something you type suggests you or someone else might be in danger, the App shows a screen with emergency and helpline numbers. This check runs on your device. When a plan is made, our AI provider can also flag such text. Flagged text is removed from your plan and not sent to the AI again. We do not store, report or share these events, and we do not monitor what you write. Anveri is not a crisis service: in an emergency, call 112.
5. Who helps us (processors)
We use the following service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement or equivalent terms. We only share what each needs to do its job.
5.1 Anthropic (AI)
Anthropic PBC (United States) provides the Claude AI models that write your plan and Patterns note. Data sent: as listed in 3.2. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models, and is kept only for a limited period for safety and abuse monitoring. See https://www.anthropic.com/legal.
5.2 Supabase (backend hosting, EU)
Supabase Inc. hosts our backend functions in Frankfurt, Germany. Requests pass through it to Anthropic and, only as a weather fallback, MET Norway; it does not store your plan content.
5.3 Apple Weather (weather)
Only if you use the weather. Apple receives approximate coordinates (and, for the town lookup, the town name you enter) to return a forecast, under Apple's privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). Weather data: Apple Weather; see Apple's legal attribution page (https://developer.apple.com/weatherkit/data-source-attribution/). If Apple Weather is unavailable, MET Norway (api.met.no) receives the approximate coordinates instead (data licensed under CC BY 4.0).
5.4 RevenueCat and Apple (purchases)
RevenueCat, Inc. manages subscription status (privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy). Apple processes payments, App Store ratings and iOS permissions under Apple's own privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not use your data to train AI models, and we have not opted in to any training program.
- We do not collect health data, and Anveri does not give medical advice.
- We do not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects by automated means. The plan is a suggestion; you decide.
7. How long we keep data
- Data on your iPhone: until you delete it (Settings → Erase everything and start over, or deleting the App).
- Data sent for planning: not stored by us; processed by Anthropic as described in 5.1.
- Technical logs: a short period (typically days, at most 90 days).
- Purchase records: as long as required by accounting and tax law.
- Emails to us: as long as needed to handle your request, then up to 2 years.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal). You can withdraw consent for AI planning, calendar and location in Settings or in iOS Settings, and erase your data on the device with Settings → Erase everything and start over.
Because Anveri has no accounts, we hold almost no data that can identify you. To exercise a right, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données, www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
9. Children
Anveri is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to use it (or older if your country requires it). If you believe a child has used the Service without the required consent, contact [email protected].
10. Transfers outside the EEA
Anthropic, RevenueCat and Apple may process data in the United States. Where they do, transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact [email protected] for more information.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will change the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the App before they apply.
